Issuance, coupons and settlement: the platform's role
BONDIX does not directly handle investors' money: it coordinates the process by observing settlement events and updating the digital securities registry.
Creation of the issuance
The issuance defines the target amount, coupon, duration and security transfer rules.
Subscription commitment
The investor subscribes to the issuance for the agreed amount.
Countervalue verification
The platform observes the countervalue transfer from the investor's account to the issuer's account.
Security registration
Once the transfer is confirmed, the security is assigned to the investor and ownership is recorded on the DLT registry.
Coupon trigger
On the scheduled date, the platform calculates the coupon and prepares a payment instruction for the issuer.
Payment reconciliation
The platform detects the payment confirmation and reconciles it with the expected obligation.
Registry update
The registry updates the position status and records the coupon-paid event.
Redemption at maturity
On the final date, the platform prepares the payment instruction for principal redemption.
Issuance closure
After repayment is confirmed, the position is closed and the issuance reaches its final state.
Why this model
Separating the asset-leg from the cash-leg allows BONDIX to coordinate issuance, ownership and lifecycle without directly holding funds. Payments are executed by the bank or PSP defined in the operating model; BONDIX receives confirmation and updates the registry.
